| Bio: | I work in children's literature -- the critical side, not the creative writing side. I review professionally for Kirkus Reviews. Sometimes I write articles about children's literature and queer theory, and about children's literature and fat politics. Fat Studies is creeping slowly into academia, but it's barely made it into children's lit scholarship at all -- let's do something about that! Queer theory has been used with children's literature to some degree, and hopefully that will increase too. There is SO much exciting stuff that that fatpol and queer theory can offer to the study of children's books! | ||||
